Senior Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

Experienced mortgage underwriters will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Senior Mortgage Underwriter, responsible for underwriting a variety of mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and mentoring team members in a high-volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loans in accordance with investor, agency, and government guidelines
• Review loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Provide training and mentorship to new and existing underwriters

Required qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of mortgage underwriting experience, including government and conventional loan products
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in finance or business preferred
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage processing and investor guidelines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage loan origination systems
• Experience in training and mentoring other team members
