Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Motion Planning Engineer focused on trajectory generation, who will develop motion control and optimization algorithms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers, with the option to work remotely or from locations in Boston or Pittsburgh.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop state-of-the-art motion control and trajectory optimization algorithms for autonomous vehicles
- Design and implement robust software solutions while conducting code and design reviews
- Create project proposals that drive long-term technical roadmaps across multiple subsystems
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of C++ software development experience
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC) and motion planning under uncertainty
- Familiarity with numerical optimization algorithms and optimization solvers
- Past experience leading technical development from problem formulation to implementation
