Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Motion Planning Engineer focused on trajectory optimization, this remote position will design, develop, and validate motion planning algorithms for autonomous trucks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable driving behaviors.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize motion planning algorithms, including trajectory generation and behavior planning for autonomous vehicles
- Develop production-quality software in modern C++ within a Linux environment, adhering to best practices for quality and safety
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to validate and deploy planning capabilities across different operational environments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with 1+ year of experience
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ development within Linux environments
- Experience in motion planning, trajectory generation, and optimization for robotics or autonomous systems
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, kinematics, and planning system architecture
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, numerical optimization, and robotics algorithms
