Job Summary
Focused on motion planning and trajectory optimization, the full-time Senior Motion Planning Engineer will design, develop, and validate algorithms for autonomous trucks, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize motion planning algorithms, including trajectory generation and behavior planning for autonomous vehicles
- Develop production-quality software in modern C++ within a Linux environment while adhering to quality and safety best practices
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure the development of safe and reliable autonomous driving behaviors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; OR Master's degree with 3+ years; OR PhD with 1+ year of experience
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ development within Linux-based environments
- Experience in developing motion planning, trajectory generation, and optimization systems for robotics or autonomous systems
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, kinematics, and planning system architecture
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, numerical optimization, and robotics algorithms
