Senior Motion Planning Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology, the full-time Senior Motion Planning Engineer will lead the research and development of advanced algorithms, design robust software, and mentor junior team members, with flexibility for remote work or in-office collaboration in Boston, Pittsburgh, or Las Vegas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of novel motion planning algorithms for autonomous driving
• Architect and integrate complex motion planning and prediction algorithms, ensuring system performance
• Design and build a high-performance codebase for rapid prototyping and evaluation of motion planning approaches

Required qualifications

• PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of research experience in robotics/motion planning with a track record of state-of-the-art contributions
• 3+ years of C++ software development focused on high-performance systems
• Experience leading technical development from problem formulation to deployment in a production environment
• Strong drive for knowledge and innovation in autonomous driving technology
