Senior MS Access Developer

Job Summary

Leading the development and maintenance of a federal client's Financial Management Tool, the remote Senior MS Access Database Developer will optimize the MS Access application, manage database connectivity, and ensure data integrity while collaborating with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the MS Access front-end application, including forms, queries, and automation processes
• Design and maintain the ODBC connectivity layer between the MS Access front end and the cloud-hosted MariaDB/MySQL backend
• Develop and maintain queries and data workflows to support financial management processes, ensuring accurate data across budget cycles

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on MS Access development experience, including forms, queries, and VBA automation in an Office 365 environment
• Demonstrated expertise with MariaDB or MySQL, including database design and query optimization
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries for large datasets
• Experience building and maintaining MS Excel reporting solutions using Pivot Tables with live ODBC connections
• Proven ability to manage the full development lifecycle of a database application
