Senior MS Access Developer

Job Summary

Supporting the USDA FPAC BOB Financial Management Tool, the full-time Senior MS Access Database Developer will maintain and enhance a Microsoft Access front-end integrated with a MariaDB database in AWS, focusing on financial reporting, system performance, and data integrity while working remotely within the United States during core hours aligned to Kansas City, Missouri.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and optimization of the MS Access front-end and AWS/MariaDB back-end environment
• Manage forms, queries, reporting tables, automation, and ODBC connectivity
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system enhancements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or qualifying substitute experience
• 8+ years of Microsoft Access development experience with expertise in MariaDB or MySQL
• Experience supporting federal IT financial data systems and reporting automation
• Strong SQL and database integration skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
