Senior Narrative Designer
Job Summary
To support the development of Guild Wars 3, the contract Senior Narrative Designer will design, write, and implement narrative content, collaborating with various teams to create an integrated gameplay experience in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the creation and development of story and character arcs in collaboration with other disciplines
- Write in-game dialogue and supporting documentation to communicate narrative development effectively
- Design and implement various systems for conveying story in an interactive world
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in literature, creative writing, screenwriting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of professional writing experience, including 2 years in MMORPGs or open-world games
- Experience shipping AAA-quality products in a writing or editing capacity
- Understanding of narrative design concepts and dramatic writing skills for games
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and gameplay systems
