Senior .NET Engineer

Job Summary

Working flexibly from home or in the Sydney or Brisbane offices, the full-time Senior .NET Engineer will design and implement a centralized communications platform, focusing on consolidating various messaging channels and ensuring robust integration with existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of a provider-agnostic communications architecture and define abstraction layers across multiple messaging providers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Write and review code, ensuring compliance with coding standards while performing rigorous testing and documentation of engineering projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in back-end software development with .NET/C#
• Hands-on experience with Mailgun for transactional email sending
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services, ideally with ASP.NET Core
• Familiarity with SMS and email providers, including Sinch, SMS Central, or MessageMedia
