Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To optimize the organization's core routing and switching infrastructure, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will manage critical network services, serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex incidents, and lead continuous improvement initiatives remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimize the core routing and switching infrastructure across campus and data center environments
• Lead deep Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting efforts for complex network incidents
• Drive upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements across various network technologies while mentoring fellow engineers

Required qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant experience
• 8-10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Expert-level experience with Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus) and Extreme VOSS / Fabric Connect
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
• Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP)
