Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure the stability and performance of critical network services, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will optimize the organization's core routing and switching infrastructure while serving as the senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimize routing and switching infrastructure across campus and data center environments
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network incidents, focusing on Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues
• Drive continuous improvement of the network platform through upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements

Required qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of relevant experience required
• 8-10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience preferred
• Expert-level experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies (Catalyst, Nexus)
• Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in high-availability environments
