Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

Building and supporting the connectivity layer for managed network services, the remote Senior Network Engineer will design, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services, including private circuits and carrier interconnects, while collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services, including VLANs, MPLS, and BGP
• Engineer and support carrier interconnects and private cloud connectivity services, ensuring successful circuit delivery and testing
• Serve as an escalation point for complex connectivity and routing issues, while developing documentation and configuration templates

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on network engineering experience from a service provider, carrier, or managed connectivity environment
• Strong working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and concepts
• Demonstrated experience in turning up and troubleshooting carrier circuits and customer handoffs
• Ability to read and produce network diagrams and circuit documentation
• Comfortable working directly with carriers and data centers throughout the circuit lifecycle
