Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

Providing engineering and operational support, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will enhance and maintain the Congressional Budget Office's Cisco-based enterprise network, focusing on Zero Trust initiatives and complex issue resolution, with remote work authorized at the government's discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across core, distribution, access, and edge layers
• Lead Zero Trust network initiatives and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
• Administer security controls and support incident response activities, including forensic analysis and remediation efforts

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering experience in Cisco environments
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification required/preferred; CCIE strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with Zero Trust networking principles and technologies
• Experience supporting incident response and security investigations
