Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support the innovative Cloud Network Services team, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will develop and maintain technical solutions, focusing on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security in cloud environments, while working remotely or onsite in Bethesda, MD.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design, engineering, and delivery of cloud network solutions for Marriott applications
• Collaborate with cloud architects and security teams to implement network solutions that meet business requirements
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance network performance and security

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of network development engineering experience, including 5+ years in a lead role for large-scale cloud-based network projects
• Expertise in cloud-native networking solutions and Infrastructure as Code development using tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Deep knowledge of routing, load balancing, firewalls, and zero-trust principles across multi-cloud environments
• Experience in configuring and managing cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, and VPNs
