Senior Network Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance site reliability in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Network Engineer will manage the entire request delivery path, focusing on network automation, client connectivity, and observability while collaborating with the SRE team.
Key responsibilities
- Own reliability across the full request delivery path, including edge network gear, DNS, load balancing, and service mesh
- Drive network automation using config-as-code practices with CI validation and maintain a network source of truth
- Engineer client connectivity circuits and build workflows and dashboards to streamline processes and enhance product offerings
Required qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience managing production networks, including routing, switching, BGP, and firewalls
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking in AWS or GCP, including VPC design and hybrid connectivity
- Experience with automation tools and practices, including scripting and version control for configurations
- Working knowledge of L4-L7 load balancing technologies such as HAProxy, NGINX, or Envoy
- Proven reliability instincts with experience in conducting failover rehearsals
