Job Summary
To support the DITCO Transition Program Management Office, the contracted Senior Telecommunications / Network Engineer will research complex network inventories, analyze technical requirements, and provide specialized input for network transitions, primarily working remotely with a preference for candidates near Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyze network inventories and configurations for approximately 40 distinct customer networks
- Assist in drafting network Performance Work Statements (PWS) for EIS vendor proposals
- Evaluate technical solutions from carriers and advise on feasibility and performance trade-offs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of total IT experience, including at least 4 years in specialized network engineering
- Active or interim Tier 1 (T1/NACI) security clearance eligibility
- Availability to support engineering deliverables and attend meetings during standard business hours
- Experience with wide area network (WAN) transport and access structures, including MPLS and Ethernet
