Senior Network Implementation Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Network Implementation Engineer will set direction for systems and networks, evaluate complex local and wide area network systems, and provide technical mentoring while ensuring interoperability and validating features across platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver impactful projects
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members
• Support the design and architecture of transport devices and troubleshoot production issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
• Typically 10+ years of related experience
• Experience with SONET and DWDM technologies, including vendor equipment for provisioning and troubleshooting
• Understanding of SONET signals (DS1, DS3, OC3 - OC768) and aggregate signal dispersion
• Ability to utilize tools such as vendor GUIs and TL1 command line interface
