Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security infrastructure, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer II will work remotely to ensure the highest levels of security and compliance for cloud environments while managing engineering teams and responding to security threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure network solutions, including firewalls and VPNs, for cloud-based environments
• Monitor cloud network activity to detect and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities
• Conduct regular network security assessments and develop network security policies for hybrid environments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in network security engineering or related roles, including cloud networking
• Expertise in securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Hands-on experience with network security tools including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty or CCNP Security are highly desirable
