Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a rapidly growing healthcare technology organization, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer will architect, deploy, and maintain secure LAN/WAN networks while leading Zero Trust initiatives and serving as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex network issues, primarily working remotely with occasional onsite visits to local clients.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and support multi-site healthcare networks, configuring next-gen firewalls and leading Zero Trust initiatives
• Diagnose and resolve high-impact network issues, performing advanced troubleshooting and deep traffic analysis
• Execute network projects, including large-scale deployments and technology refreshes, while maintaining documentation and standards

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level network and security engineering experience
• Strong multi-vendor expertise, including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, VLAN segmentation, and security protocols
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Auvik
• Ability to operate effectively in environments with limited physical control
