Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and technically skilled, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer will ensure the security of the network environment, including cloud infrastructures in Microsoft Azure and AWS, while managing security requirements, conducting assessments, and driving a zero-trust strategy in a remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain network security requirements and standards for cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring compliance with security policies
• Conduct security reviews and assessments of network infrastructure, leading incident response efforts and threat detection initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security controls into engineering processes and ensure alignment with organizational security standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 6-8 years of experience in network engineering and/or network security, with a minimum of 3 years in a dedicated network security role
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall environments and cloud network security in Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Knowledge of zero-trust networking principles and experience with network segmentation and micro-segmentation
• Proficiency in investigating and responding to network-based security incidents, including log analysis and forensic review
