Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and optimizing the organization's core network security platforms, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer will ensure the availability, performance, and protection of critical systems in a remote environment while serving as the senior technical escalation point for complex security issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance core network security platforms to protect critical systems across a large-scale enterprise environment
• Lead root-cause analysis, incident response, and problem resolution for complex security, firewall, and network access control issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through policy optimization, segmentation, automation, and operational enhancements

Required qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or 5 years of applicable job-specific experience
• 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in network/security engineering
• Proven experience operating in large-scale, enterprise environments
• Deep expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Fortinet security platforms
• Strong knowledge of firewall operations, authentication protocols, and VPN technologies
