Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer will manage enterprise security configurations, design secure network infrastructure, and ensure compliance with federal standards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate and engineer enterprise web proxy and diagnose network issues down to the packet level
• Design and configure secure network infrastructure enforcing Zero Trust principles and manage firewall policies
• Utilize tools like tcpdump and Wireshark for troubleshooting and log correlation to isolate network issues

Required qualifications:

• Experience with Palo Alto, PAN-OS, firewalls, and SIEM systems
• Proficiency in configuring network ACLs, security groups, and implementing Data Loss Prevention strategies
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 fundamentals, including routing, addressing, and BGP/OSPF
• Ability to write and review complex PCRE for performance optimization
• Current or previous Federal Government Clearance is preferred
