Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

Driving network modernization efforts, the full-time Senior Network Security Engineer will lead the transition to a secure, cloud-integrated Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) 3.0 framework while working remotely and ensuring the security of network boundaries and configurations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain network boundaries, including secure site-to-site IPsec VPN tunnels
• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewall and switching infrastructure, including Palo Alto Networks and Juniper products
• Collaborate with development teams to automate network configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) techniques

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience without a degree
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Juniper core switching
• In-depth knowledge of BGP routing, OSPF, and IPsec VPN tunneling
• Familiarity with federal security compliance standards, including NIST RMF and CISA Zero Trust guidelines
• Must possess a current/active Secret clearance
