Senior Node.js Engineer

Job Summary

Building a reliable migration service, the contract Senior Node.js Engineer will work remotely to transition customers from a legacy payments platform to a core platform, focusing on data mapping and workflow management.

Key responsibilities

• Read data from a legacy SQL schema and map it to current API models
• Build migration workflows that can start, stop, resume, and retry while tracking progress and failures
• Handle large migrations and resolve mapping issues between source and target systems

Required qualifications

• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Proven background in data migration and ETL processes
• Seasoned experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
• Comfortable working directly with relational databases
• Experience in building backend services and managing long-running background processes
