Senior Non-QM Underwriter

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Non-QM Underwriter will conduct thorough analyses of loan files to ensure compliance with company and investor guidelines while managing communication with borrowers and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Completes detailed evaluations of credit packages and collateral for residential mortgage loans
• Maintains productivity standards, ensuring a 48-hour underwriting turnaround time and communicates loan decisions effectively
• Performs manual underwriting and appraisal analysis, providing guidance on loan files to processors as needed

Required qualifications

• Minimum five years of recent NON-QM mortgage underwriting experience with knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, and NON-QM Investors
• Ability to review and calculate complex personal and business financials and tax profiles
• Experience with the Encompass loan origination system for at least 5 years
• High school diploma required
• Experience in a fast-paced team environment
