Senior Nuclear Design Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Fuel Handling System Design Engineer, Nuclear is a contract position that involves designing nuclear fuel handling systems and providing technical direction, with a focus on remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design nuclear fuel handling systems and coordinate the review of related analyses
• Provide technical direction and oversight for supplier projects and maintain system requirements documentation
• Generate design packages and support licensing activities related to Safety Analysis Reports

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or related discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of direct experience with proven mechanical systems skills
• Experience in designing complex mechanical systems, particularly nuclear fuel handling systems
• Experience with ASME Section III and quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
• Previous experience with nuclear reactors or similar high-performance system design
