Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Fuel Performance and Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thermo-mechanical analysis of fuel rods and core components to support design and testing activities
  • Develop fuel and material models, and compose technical documents for reactor design and licensing
  • Support irradiation testing and assess fuel performance through pre-test predictions and test result interpretations
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in fuel performance modeling or thermo-mechanical analysis
  • Strong skills in finite element methods, heat transfer, and solid mechanics
  • Experience with programming languages such as PYTHON and FORTRAN
  • Familiarity with nuclear fuel design methodologies, particularly for fast-neutron reactors
