Job Summary
To support advanced reactor development, the remote Senior Nuclear Licensing Engineer will lead regulatory planning and compliance efforts, translating DOE and NRC requirements into actionable strategies while preparing licensing deliverables and engaging with regulators throughout the reactor design lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the interpretation and application of DOE and NRC regulatory requirements for reactor development
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical approaches for demonstrating regulatory compliance
- Develop licensing strategies and coordinate technical inputs for licensing deliverables and regulatory correspondence
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in nuclear reactor licensing or regulatory affairs
- Proven experience with DOE reactor authorization or NRC licensing processes
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with licensing document structures
- U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to meet Export Control requirements under 10 CFR 810
