Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer will lead projects involving thermal-hydraulic and plant transient analyses for BWRX-300, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering high-quality technical reports.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead technical evaluations and analyses related to Anticipated Operational Occurrences and Reactor Heat Balance
• Perform thermal hydraulic evaluations for containment and stability analyses
• Prepare and present complex technical reports and solutions to internal and external stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
• At least 8 years of relevant nuclear experience
• Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes
• Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
• Programming experience in languages such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
