Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer will lead projects involving thermal-hydraulic and plant transient analyses for BWRX-300, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering high-quality technical reports.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead technical evaluations and analyses related to Anticipated Operational Occurrences and Reactor Heat Balance
- Perform thermal hydraulic evaluations for containment and stability analyses
- Prepare and present complex technical reports and solutions to internal and external stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar)
- At least 8 years of relevant nuclear experience
- Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes
- Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
- Programming experience in languages such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
