Senior Observability Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior/Staff/Principal SWE in Observability Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an OpenTelemetry-native telemetry fabric for logging and distributed tracing
• Architect a high-cardinality data pipeline capable of handling over 100 million events per day
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver impactful observability solutions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on observability or telemetry
• Expertise in OpenTelemetry, including OTLP and context propagation
• Experience with distributed tracing systems handling real customer traffic
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput data pipelines, including back-pressure handling
• Proficiency in systems programming, preferably in Go and/or Rust
