Senior Ocean Policy Specialist

Job Summary

To support and scale ocean conservation efforts, the full-time Senior Ocean Policy Specialist will manage global ocean policy initiatives, develop program strategies, and oversee public affairs and partner management activities while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to conduct research and develop briefing materials for political strategy and marine protected areas
• Develop and execute operational plans for team meetings and ocean policy convenings
• Support partner management and coordinate messaging across departments to ensure effective communication of program strategies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of professional experience, preferably in the non-profit or environmental sector
• Strong understanding of marine conservation issues and programmatic needs
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
