Senior Operations Engineer

Job Summary

To support various organizations, the full-time remote Senior Operations Engineer will provide technical leadership, improve network reliability, and mentor peers while managing data systems and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and configuration for data systems aligned with Managed Services customer goals
• Monitor and analyze network performance, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring service restoration
• Act as a liaison between Managed Services and other departments for high-level support issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Windows Server and/or Solarwinds
• Experience with telecom and network outage isolation and service restorations
• Proficient in Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switch and router configuration and management
• Must be available 24/7 for outages and maintenance work
