Senior Operations Engineer
Job Summary
To support various Lumen organizations, the full-time remote Senior Operations Engineer will manage network reliability and customer satisfaction through engineering design, data support, and mentoring of peers.
Key responsibilities
- Provide data design, installation, and maintenance support for Managed Services contracts
- Evaluate technical requirements for compatibility with existing systems and new products
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure uninterrupted operations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and/or Solarwinds
- Experience with telecom and network outage isolation and service restorations
- Proficient in Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switch and router configuration
- Must be available for 24/7 support during outages and maintenance windows
