Senior Optimization Engineer

Job Summary

To support clean energy projects, the hybrid Senior Optimization Engineer will manage production, design, and cost optimization efforts throughout the development process, ensuring competitiveness in PPA bids and leading technical diligence during project financing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess early-stage design trade-offs and model site-specific conditions to optimize project design and production
• Lead cross-functional design optimization efforts aimed at achieving the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) and prepare technical bids
• Conduct technical diligence and coordinate with stakeholders to maximize project valuation during financing stages

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field
• 3+ years of experience in project or optimization engineering within renewable energy and solar development
• Strong PV production modeling experience (PVsyst, SAM, and/or pvlib)
• Comprehensive knowledge of solar and storage technology and components
• Basic understanding of the full solar development and renewable project finance processes
