Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer: Payload/Sensor, Space.

Key Responsibilities

• Create opto-mechanical designs of space payloads
• Run finite element models and conduct analyses on mechanical and optical components
• Lead subsystem design reviews and manage hardware design from concept to launch

Required Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in engineering or hard science
• 5-10 years of mechanical design experience with space hardware
• Experience with exotic opto-mechanical materials and high-reliability design
• Proficiency in CAD and ability to create engineering drawings
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
