Senior Oracle DBA

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Oracle DBA for a fully remote contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend strategies for database architecture, upgrades, and maintenance plans
• Lead the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle databases and related software
• Monitor database activities and provide support for production and non-production environments

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of experience as an Oracle database administrator
• 5 years of experience with Oracle RAC in an AIX operating system environment
• Extensive knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery utilities
• Experience in configuring physical standby databases and Active Data Guard
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and SQL tuning, particularly in Oracle RAC environments
