Senior Oracle Developer

Job Summary

To support the Census Bureau, the full-time Senior Oracle Developer will perform systems analysis, design, and development, implement secure coding practices, and maintain large software applications while working with complex Oracle databases.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure code for software applications and perform testing
• Conduct performance testing and tuning using advanced PL/SQL techniques
• Assist other developers with technical solutions and troubleshoot production applications

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of IT software development experience, particularly with Oracle 19c Developer's Suite
• Experience with software development life cycle and Change Management Software (e.g., Jira, GitHub)
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and experience with large Oracle data warehouses
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
