Senior Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

Supporting coding operations remotely, the full-time Senior Outpatient Coder will lead day-to-day workflows, ensure coding accuracy, and assist in process improvement initiatives while residing in one of the specified states.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support and leadership for outpatient coding workflows and staff
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain a minimum coding accuracy threshold
• Collaborate with various teams to implement coding policies and monitor regulatory changes affecting operations

Required qualifications

• CCS Credential, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• 5-10 years of progressive HIM coding management experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Extensive knowledge of OPPS, IPPS, and official coding guidelines
• Experience with Revenue Cycle Operations, particularly acute care coding
• Proficiency in 3M 360 software
