Senior Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

To support coding operations in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Outpatient Coder will provide day-to-day leadership and operational support for coding workflows, ensure coding accuracy, and assist in process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and operational support for assigned inpatient and outpatient coding workflows
• Ensure at least 95% coding accuracy while monitoring coder productivity and providing feedback
• Assist in developing and implementing coding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines

Required qualifications:

• CCS Credential, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• 5-10 years of progressive HIM coding management experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Extensive experience with Revenue Cycle Operations, including acute care coding
• Proficiency in 3M 360 software
• Knowledge of OPPS, IPPS, and official coding guidelines
