Senior Outpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Auditor, Senior Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audits of medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding and adherence to guidelines
• Achieve productivity and quality performance standards set by management
• Assist in training new Coding Auditors, providing monitoring and feedback

Required Qualifications

• Active professional credentials through AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CCS, COC, RHIA, RHIT)
• 3+ years of experience in coding inpatient or outpatient claims
• Proficiency in medical record auditing and various coding methodologies (ICD-10 CM, ICD-10-PCS, APC, ASC, HCPCS, CPT)
• Thorough understanding of APR-DRG, AP-DRG, and MS-DRG systems
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools
