Senior Outpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Senior Outpatient Medical Coder will perform surgical and evaluation management coding remotely, adhering to established coding guidelines and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct surgical coding for Hospital-Based Visits, Endoscopy, and Operating Room procedures
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10, CMS, and organizational coding guidelines
• Manage multiple coding queues efficiently as directed by the management team

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of outpatient hospital coding experience
• Experience with surgical coding in various medical specialties
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or similar credential
• Proficiency in Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding in both office and hospital settings
