Senior Packaging Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading the technical development and strategic management of packaging, the full-time Senior Packaging Engineering Manager will oversee packaging from concept through commercialization and procurement, ensuring sustainability and quality in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own packaging development from concept through commercialization for new product launches, including material selection and production scale-up
- Lead packaging trials and performance testing to ensure compliance with all requirements
- Develop and manage the strategic sourcing and procurement strategy for the packaging portfolio, including supplier identification and negotiations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 7+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and commercializing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
- Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with experience in supplier negotiations and cost modeling
- Experience in sourcing packaging within home care, personal care, beauty, or food & beverage sectors
- Familiarity with various packaging types, including glass, flexible, and sustainable alternatives
