Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Patent Agent.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal and external partners to secure the company's IP empire
Draft and fight for global patent rights for the company's inventions
Research, analyze, and advise on patent strategies, monitor patents and tech trends, analyze competitor filings and publications, and partner with R&D to unearth patentable inventions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

PhD in life sciences (BS/MS with strong research experience considered)
Must be licensed to practice before the USPTO
3+ years of hands-on patent searching and prosecution experience in biotech/pharma
Law firm or in-house experience is a plus
Knowledge of nucleic acids and a passion for protecting innovation is preferred
