Senior Patent Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel - Patent Law, Medicinal/Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with scientists to identify patentable subject matter
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide
• Provide legal advice on intellectual property matters and assist with litigation-related issues

Required Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
• Four plus (4+) years of experience practicing intellectual property law
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in patent or intellectual property law preferred
• Advanced degree in organic or medicinal chemistry is preferred
