Job Summary
Providing essential financial clearance services for patient accounts, the full-time Senior Patient Access Advocate will manage insurance verification, authorization, and documentation to ensure accurate billing in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve exceptional patient experiences by addressing complaints and educating patients on insurance benefits
- Perform patient registration and manage the accurate collection of demographic and financial information
- Quality review accounts to ensure compliance with insurance information and billing requirements
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with 2 years in Patient Access and/or billing
- Certification such as CHAA or CHAM preferred
- Expert knowledge of insurance processing, medical terminology, and billing codes
- Proficiency in EPIC ADT system and Microsoft Office products
