Senior Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

Senior Patient Access Representative performs a variety of registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and billing duties in a full-time capacity to support access to medical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs admissions, registration, and scheduling activities, entering necessary demographic and insurance information into the computer system
• Verifies patient insurance coverage, documents authorization approvals and denials, and may financially screen self-pay patients
• Assists in training new employees and follows through on open self-pay accounts for collection purposes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3-5 years of relevant experience required
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid patients preferred
• Ability to perform billing and receivable functions
• Knowledge of financial assistance options for patients
