Senior Patient Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Patient Accounting Specialist to provide senior level support for patient medical billing and collection activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource and first line of escalation for Patient Accounting specialist team members
• Identifies and reports payer-related issues and potential payment discrepancies
• Trains and assists new and existing team members with assigned work in accordance with department standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum of one year of experience in claims, billing, or collections, or two years in a business office setting, or an Associate's degree in a related field
• Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and revenue cycle software preferred
• Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and empathy
• Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality
