Job Summary

Senior Patient Financial Counselor provides full-time financial counseling and support to patients with complex financial needs, managing escalated cases and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure access to care and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive financial assessments and explain complex cost and insurance scenarios
  • Assist patients with applications for Medicaid, disability programs, and charity care
  • Collaborate with clinical teams and prepare estimates for complicated procedures
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; certification or vocational training may be required
  • Associate degree in a relevant field may be preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience required; 4-6 years preferred
  • Expert knowledge of insurance rules, prior authorizations, and billing processes
  • Ability to manage high-risk and sensitive patient cases effectively
