Senior Patient Financial Navigator

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Patient Financial Navigation Specialist, this full-time remote position will manage patient financial experiences by providing expert guidance on insurance coverage and billing, collaborating with internal teams, and mentoring junior staff to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level guidance to patients on financial matters, including insurance coverage, billing, and financial assistance
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline communication and resolve escalated issues
• Mentor junior navigators and contribute to training programs and best practices

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of experience in healthcare billing, insurance coordination, or patient financial services
• Strong understanding of health insurance plans, benefits, and coverage verification processes
• Experience working with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce) and billing software (e.g., Epic, XiFin, Quadax)
• Proven ability to manage complex patient cases with empathy, clarity, and professionalism
