Senior Payroll Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Payroll Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly or bi-weekly payrolls for multi-state and possibly international employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Review and reconcile payroll data including compensation, bonuses, commissions, taxes, and benefits
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts monthly, while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of payroll experience preferred
• 2+ years in a senior or lead payroll role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and multi-state payroll processing
• Experience with payroll systems and accounting software required, with preference for Paychex and NetSuite
